Each year the Sumner Ferrymead Foundation offers a range of scholarships and awards for both individuals and community groups within our catchment area – from Taylors Mistake through to Mt Pleasant, around to Heathcote and across to Brookhaven. To enable this to happen we rely on the generosity of local residents and businesses.
We are looking for community minded individuals and businesses who believe in the Foundation’s ethos of “locals helping locals” to be sponsors. There are a range of awards and scholarships on offer, and whilst this may vary slightly each year, they generally include::
The level of investment depends on the scholarship or award. However, we are flexible and will work with you to find a level of investment that works for you and the future recipient.
Current sponsors are always given the first option to sponsor the scholarship or award the following year. Whilst most continue their sponsorship this is not expected.
The Foundation will acknowledge the sponsor where ever possible, for example:
Some sponsors prefer to remain anonymous (e.g. the 2024 Science Award was sponsored by a Redcliffs resident) or wish to sponsor an individual or community group in memory of someone (e.g. the 2024 Outward Bound Scholarship was in memory of Allan Williams).
